Blessings in Juneau, Alaska!

Today is the final day of our two weeks in Juneau, Alaska.  Nancy, Emily and I had the blessing of visiting the folk at Northland Bible Church who are planting a new church.  What a thrill is was to preach, visit, and encourage these folk!  Believe it or not, it stayed between 20-45 degrees while were here.  I guess we had to come to Alaska to miss the big snow storm and bitter cold!  It is beautiful here to see the ocean, mountains, and glaciers.  But the biggest blessing of the week, was the privilege of leading a 75 year old man to the Lord!  He came the first Sunday and lifted his hand for salvation at the invitaiton.  The Lord worked it out that we could get together on Friday and clearly give the Gospel.  He was as ready as anyone I've ever been blessed to lead to the Lord.  He prayed to trust the Lord on Friday and then was back to church on Sunday to let it be known to the church family.  He is the father of two in the church.  Obviously, many have prayed for him for many years, planting and watering the seed.  One plants, another waters, but God gave the increase this week!  Praise the Lord!  Please pray for this young church as they seek the Lord to provide a church planter to pastor and lead them in building the church.  Pray for s as we travel home tonight and Monday.  I need to be in Decatur on Monday night for the annual executive committee meeting.

Thanks so much for your prayers!
